Caring for your Diamond Ring

Your diamond ring, whether it’s the wedding band or just a diamond ring (because you love jewellery) is an important investment. And we say investment, we are thinking emotional and family investment as it likely holds many memories.

So, how do you care for a diamond ring?

You can normally have your ring polished and cleaned by your jeweller, something we offer at Britton Diamonds, but did you know that you should check the claws around the diamond every 2-3 years?

That’s right, you need to ensure that the claws are still secured around the diamonds. Just like anything else, the claws will wear down over time and sometimes the diamonds can become loose or even fall out of the setting.  So it is good practice to see the jeweller to determine if the claws require re-tipping.
